Quincy Raceways to be Revisited by the O’Reilly Midwest All Star Series

Before a near-sellout crowd, Jerrod Hull put on a display of driving ability holding off "The Last Remaining True Outlaw" Danny Smith and the defending Knoxville Raceway Track Champion Brian Brown to lead all 30 laps of the June 1^st event at Quincy Raceways.  Due to the excitement of the race and the fans overwhelming response, the O’Reilly Midwest All Star Series has been invited back to the Illinois facility for 1 more night in 2008 on September 21st.

Many of the drivers were impressed with the tracks configuration and the hospitality they received back in June making this a benefit for everyone involved.  Fans will once again be thrilled with the “Best of the Midwest” racing against many traveling teams and local talent.

Quincy Raceways is located in Quincy, Illinois and is primarily a Late Model and Modified facility, however the fan base has an enormous hunger for sprint car racing and it showed in June.  Fans have voiced their opinions about bringing back the high-horsed 410 sprinters and the series is proud to be able to put on a display for them one more time in 2008.

 
America's Series to Tackle the Famed High Banks

In less than 48 hours it will be time to kick off one of the biggest and most anticipated events on the sprint car calendar for 2008.  The O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions visit west of the Missouri River, the Thunder Through the Plains, will kick off it’s first of 4 nights at the famed Belleville High Banks.

The Belleville High Banks is one of the best facilities in the country and has a rich history of midget racing, and features the National Midget Hall of Fame.  July 31^st , The high-horsed 410 sprint cars of the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions will take their turn at one of the fastest and best prepared tracks in the country.

Speedway Motors has jumped on board for the 2008 annual event and has offered up added incentive for the drivers.  Speedway Motors is a proud supporter of the event as they will be on hand offering up a catered dinner for the teams, opportunities to win prizes and sales reps on hand to discuss the latest products and lend support.

Coupled with 4 races outside the “footprint” of the All Star Circuit of Champion stomping grounds and a tight points battle, the 2008 edition of the Thunder Through the Plains is sure to be a good one.  Currently Lance Dewease holds onto his point lead with Dale Blaney and Randy Hannagan giving everything they've got to tighten the points even more.

Additional drivers are expected to run with the series in 2008.  Top drivers from the Midwest, former World of Outlaw drivers, and the Superstars of America’s Series will compete for the $5,000 to win each of the 4 nights.

 
New Florence Soaked, O’Reilly Midwest All Star Show Canceled

In a year Mother Nature has claimed many victories, she claims another one.  Most recently the O’Reilly Midwest All Star Series event at the Montgomery County Speedway in New Florence, Missouri has fallen victim.  Three nights of rain plus additional threats have caused track and series officials to make this decision. 

Next up for the series several drivers will be participating in the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions Thunder Through the Plains events.  Events are scheduled as some of the most exciting dirt tracks in the country.  For more information visit www.allstarsprint.com or www.midwestallstarseries.com.

 
Midwest All Star Series Returns to Montgomery County

Saturday, July 26th, the O’Reilly Midwest All Star Series heads back to Montgomery County Speedway for another anticipated exciting evening of 410 sprint car action.  The O’Reilly Midwest All Star Series visited the Montgomery CountyOzarc Gas Welding Supercenter #12 scored his second feature win of the season. high-banks earlier in the season where Jerrod Hull in the Montgomery County Speedway in New Florence, Missouri has become a popular spot for the traveling teams.  The track features high-paced ¼ mile racing that allowed the drivers opportunities for elbows up racing and hard charging opportunities.  Jim Davies of Oquawka, Illinois bested the field with hard charging honors by finishing 9th from his 18thst. starting position on June 21.
